Three acts, one life
Player, executive, real-estate agent, municipal councillor. And above all: married, raising his daughters.
The warrior on the ice
Sébastien grows up in Morges, in French-speaking Switzerland, the son of Pierre-André Reuille, a national-league goaltender. Hockey enters his life early. First as a setting, then as a choice, finally as a profession.
At 15, he leaves French-speaking Switzerland. Not for a holiday. To turn professional. Kloten, German-speaking Switzerland: another language, another rhythm, another level. At that age, many seek safety. He chooses distance, discipline and the drive to grow and learn.
With his parents’ support, but with a decision already his own. He turns professional in 1998 with EHC Kloten, then continues at Rapperswil. In 2004 comes the call that changes everything: Lugano.
Swiss title, and the stitches
In the black-and-white jersey he wins the Swiss title in 2006. Then he returns to Rapperswil for three seasons, before coming back to Lugano in 2010. From that moment, Lugano is no longer just a team. It becomes home.
It didn’t happen during a game, but during a training session beforehand: a puck hits him squarely in the face. 80 stitches and three jaw fractures. Three weeks later, he’s back on the ice for the start of the playoffs.
In 2023 he enters the Swiss ice-hockey Hall of Fame. "It doesn't happen to everyone. I must have done something right."
The visionary
While he played, Sébastien didn't wait. He studied. He worked. He prepared for what came next, while the present demanded everything of him. Some teammates laughed: "Why are you going to work?" Because he knew something you learn quickly in sport: a career can end. A mindset doesn't. And never give up.

The citizen
Lugano is not a backdrop in his story. It’s the place where his story gained weight. Here he played, worked, built relationships, listened to people. That’s why political engagement doesn’t arrive as a new identity: it arrives as a consequence. In 2024 he runs in the municipal elections on the PLR list. He’s elected municipal councillor. It’s not a leap into the unknown — it’s a different way of doing what he’s always done: stay in the game, take responsibility, build something that lasts.
